Attachment Crossroads: Current Research on Parent-Child Attachment from Eastern and Western Perspectives

This workshop of attachment theory from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas examines both the universality and cultural specificity of caregiving practices. Through historical and contemporary perspectives, participants will engage with emerging research on secure base scripts and sensitive caregiving across diverse contexts. By centering perspectives from the majority world, the workshop seeks to advance cross-cultural understanding, inform global dialogues on attachment, and foster collaborative research across international laboratories.
