Komunidad: Filipinos in the UAE

Komunidad: Filipinos in the UAE is a documentary photography project that captures the lives of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the UAE. It offers an intimate glimpse into the daily experiences of four individuals from the Filipino community. Now part of the NYUAD Akkasah Photography Archive in NYU's Special Collections, artist Xyza Cruz Bacani's work is significant in the realm of documentary photography. In this presentation she shares her journey with us.
